Stephen Wahlstrom has led and/or completed more than 150 consulting assignments for government agencies, private investors, and non-profit economic development organizations in California and 15 other western states. Mr. Wahlstrom is a recognized expert in economic development planning, impact analysis and the delivery of advisory services for proposed real estate and housing development projects. He has designed models to determine the potential to develop new commercial retail, industrial and business park facilities, and to determine the demand for housing by type and size of unit. His work has earned awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) and the California Department of Tourism. His academic background includes earning a Master's of City and Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Washington.
